A Limilandscape I, II, III
'Limilandscape' is a series of drawing which brings the two primary artistic media ink and graphite into an unification. It focuses on examining the role ink played in Chinese literati art history as well as the significance of graphite in the Western art practice. Creating large scale ink wash and brush work provides the prototype of the ink-ish graphite landscape. By duplicating the magnified details of the ink work with graphite, it creates a visual oscillation which swings between the likeness and the unlikeness. The unification of the ink and graphite and the ambiguity of its manifestation serve as an agent to blur the difference and consequently open up a space for imagination.
